Engine codes don't.
Two X3s built the same year can take different discs. Most catalogues stop at the model, hand you a part that is 8 mm too small, and leave you to find out in the workshop.
Motarix records fitment against the engine variant itself. Pick your car down to the engine once, and the catalogue re-filters to what actually bolts on. Of the fitments behind the catalogue, 321,049 are recorded against the engine variant rather than the model badge.

Build the basket. Anything we have on the shelf you can pay for in the app. Everything else goes to WhatsApp in one tap — parts, quantities and your vehicle already written out — and we come back with the price and the date.

Type a part number, an OE reference off the old part, or just the name. Motarix ignores the spaces and dashes, so however the number is written on the box, on the invoice, or in your notes, it finds the same part.
Every part lists the original manufacturer numbers it replaces. Tap one to copy it — useful when you are standing in a workshop reading a number off a casting and need it in a message.

Why it matters
A wrong part is

In a workshop the part that does not fit costs more than the part. It costs the ramp, the labour, and the customer's afternoon.
That is the whole reason we record fitment against the engine variant rather than the model badge, and why, if you want certainty on a specific part, we would rather check the VIN by hand on WhatsApp than let you find out underneath the car.

What we won't pretend.
A parts catalogue is only worth anything if it tells you the truth. Three things we would rather say out loud.
We don't fake stock
If a part is not on the shelf, the app says so. It is labelled “Order-in · 5–10 days” and goes to us on WhatsApp, where we confirm the price and the date before anything is charged. Only a part that is genuinely sold out offers to alert you when it is back. You will not be sold something that is three weeks away described as ready today.
We don't cover every car yet
Seven makes are in the vehicle list, but depth varies enormously. Mercedes-Benz and BMW are by far the deepest; Toyota and Ford are new and have nothing behind them yet. If your car brings up nothing, message us — most of what we sell we bring in to order anyway.
We don't guess a fitment
Save your car down to the engine and every part shows whether it fits yours. Not sure about a specific one? Send us the VIN on WhatsApp and we will confirm it by hand.

Across Tanzania.
We hold stock in Dar es Salaam and bring in what we do not hold. What is on the shelf you can pay for in the app; anything we bring in is agreed with you on WhatsApp first, so you always have a person to ask.
